The British Red Cross is a part of the world’s largest independent humanitarian organization. With over 35,000 trained volunteers, and 2,500 staff, the British Red Cross is working in almost every community around the UK as well as in many countries overseas, enabling them to help hundreds of thousands of people in need each year.

The War and Peace Ball, an annual event chaired by Count Andrei Tolstoy-Miloslavsky, is one of the most glamorous events in London’s social calendar. The ball is dedicated to supporting the Building Appeal Fund of The London Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Chiswick, Life Action Trust, and the Church of the Archangel Michael in Spain, the first Russian Orthodox Church in Spain.

Children in Crisis was founded in 1993 by the Duchess of York to improve the lives of children around the world affected by conflict, deprivation, poverty, or other hidden crises by working with local communities to provide education, healthcare, and protection.
